Fascinated with bodies, movement, and currently the concept of "surrender"

The shift in the dynamic of artist-viewer relationships, and how viewers are nowadays consuming and perceiving art, particularly traditional analog media, made me increasingly aware of how this also extends to how audiences perceive my paintings. I became intrigued with the notion of exploring ways to integrate my work with new media without fundamentally altering my working process at its core. Rather than abandoning the tangible and tactile nature of painting, I want to preserve its essence while also embracing the possibilities of the digital realm. 

A continuation of my current series of work, I explore the concept of “surrender”, what this means to me, and how it relates to my life and practice. I find myself drawn to this term which generally has a submissive connotation to it but can also be construed as holding a lot of power. In my work, I attempt to explore the paradox that lies in the strength required when relinquishing control and take myself on a journey of attempting to unlearn mechanisms that have been instilled in me for as long as I could remember.
