These angels or “Guardians” were created as I imagined a moment in their lives when no one was watching them. Just a pure, aloof moment in their own thoughts and in their environments. The video below sums it up nicely.

The Guardians are not angels in the typical sense. Gaia created the Guardians to defend herself from Titan in the epic fantasy novels I am writing. As such, their connection to nature and the ethereal is profound. They adopt the traits of what they guard. You’ll see this take effect in the artworks.

Eigengrau - 16161d: the color of the night the human eye perceives in the absence of light. It is the darkness that artists are finding in what we collectively believe is a space for art. I want to believe that blockchain, the Cardano blockchain, is a place for artists to be seen and appreciated. I want to believe that there are collectors who genuinely believe in art for art's sake, that art is a utility, and that that utility is enough. Eigengrau 16161d represents a blockchain with its heart turned away from art. Collecting Eigengrau is an act of faith in the art community. It will signal to the metaverse that art belongs here, and it will be a beacon for artists to follow. The artwork or works beneath the veil of Eigengrau will be revealed to the collector, minted alongside Eigengrau, and sent to the collector after Eigengrau is collected.
