This artwork depicts the victory of Mac Dynasty's general, Nguyen Quyen at the battle on Giao Thuy river against the Le's Dynasty.

In September 1557, the Le Dynasty's crown master Trinh Kiem led an army to attack the northern realm of Dai Viet held by Mac Dynasty. Nguyen Quyen received orders from Khiem Lord Mac Kinh Dien to hold the Giao Thuy River, intercepting the Le vanguard led by Marquis of Vu Lang, general Pham Duc Ky. 

Nguyen Quyen and Pham Duc Ky fought a huge battle. Ky jumped to the hood of Nguyen Quyen's boat first and cut down Quyen's bodyguard. Quyen defended with his sword, Ky couldn't help it, so he jumped into the river and dived away. 

Nguyen Quyen jumped to Ky's boat, cut off the bodyguard's head and quickly shoved the tip of his sword into the enemy's head, raised it high, and shouted:

"Here is the head of Vu Lang Marquis, how can you guys fight me!"

Le army heard this, thought their general was killed, and flinched then broke. The Mac army won the fight. Trinh Kiem had to withdraw his troops in a hurry. Mac Kinh Dien sent his general to ambush along the retreat way. According to the "Dai Viet Su Ky Toan Thu", this battle the Le army was heavily defeated, several generals were killed, huge number of boats and weapons had to be left behind, Trinh Kiem retreated to Thanh Hoa. Nguyen Quyen was named Thach the Duke.

Nướng - Grill

This collection contains 5 artworks depicted various activities of two cats, whose are father and son. These activities include: eat, play, sleep, study and practice.

These cats were using historical Vietnamese costumes, items,  weapons, furniture... which were used during the Le Dynasty (1428AD-1789AD).

This collection contains illustrations of the first episode of Vietnam historical novel - De Ho Truyen.
