- About: The title was actually something Zach, the Heartist Artist, came up with. We were showing one of the WIPs in the Discord, and he said, “Departure”… I immediately thought, “Yes, exactly. Soul Departure.” It’s one of my favourite piano pieces. You should listen to it—I’ve linked it in the metadata above. 🌹
- Commentary: The image is composed of a lot of different parts collaged, transformed, and post-processed. One of the signature swirls, for example, is derived from a Nijijourney digigraph fed to another algorithm to generate a swirl. Lots of colour and level correction throughout. You know, I seriously want to say—people who are using Midjourney and other generative tools *just* for raw digigraphs? Are really missing out. A lot of the real magic still happens on the canvas, with manual work. You can see a progression below.
